Once the United States decided to enter World War I on the side of the Allied Powers, propaganda played an important role in gathering wartime support. Click on the link below to take you to a website with a collection of World War I propaganda posters:

**Note: there are multiple pages with multiple ads, so flip through them all. I will take points off if your responses reflect a lack of effort and time spent looking through these various posters...in other words, if you pick the same posters that everyone else picked, you may lose points!!**
Click on the pictures of the posters and select THREE to describe and analyze. You will need to select one poster that focuses on military recruitment, one that focuses on the new role of factories in providing wartime supplies, and one that focuses on the role of families in either the conservation of goods or in aiding the war effort financially.
Briefly describe each poster (good enough descriptions so that I know which you selected). What is the purpose or goal of each poster and how do you think each poster will assist in reaching that goal (in other words, how will each poster influence the war effort)?
Do you think each poster is effective? Why or why not?
What do you think the style of the posters says about the style of advertising used at this time (i.e. lots of text, minimal pictures, etc.) and how does that differ from our style of advertising today (try to compare apples to apples, meaning think about recruitment advertising today, conservation advertising, business advertising...)?
